Description :

Medallion from a capital representing a bust of a female musician. The figure stands out against a background of plant motifs. Her head is surrounded by a nimbus decorated with incisions. The face is idealised, smiling, round, with wide open eyes. She seems to be wearing earrings. She plays a stringed instrument, a kind of santoor. It seems to be made of a piece of wood, decorated with incisions, where strings are stretched, fixed and tightened by rivets.
