Tapa-i Kafarihā - Figure
This Bodhisattva wears a pre-formed turban decorated with hairnets. In the centre of the forehead, a fan-shaped palmette emerges from the heart of a flower, perhaps a lotus. It is framed by two flowers, while the central decoration is a standing figure or a pyramidion. The face is delicate, with Indian and Central Asian influences. The earlobes are enlarged and decorated with earrings. The decorated ring swells in the centre and tapers at the ends. The ūrṇā is represented by a painted red circle, just above the eyebrows.
