Bāgh Gaï - Figure
This Bodhisattva wears a rigid turban edged with a worked headband and decorated with bands of passementerie running from front to back from a central medallion, perhaps a cabochon. The hair is medium-length and falls behind the ears in the shape of an English curl. The earlobes are deformed and he wears round, massive earrings without decoration. The round face is idealised; the facial features echo certain Central Asian works.
