Tapa-i Kafarihā - Figure
This head of a Brahman has had its face mutilated. Only a few features of the face can be distinguished: the drooping arches and the downward sloping mouth. The hair, long and smooth, gathered in a bun, has been done with a chisel with particular care.
Observation :The artist has applied to render the hair in a realistic way, willing to represent that the bun of the anchoretes is made of the rolled up mass of their hair.
