Description :

The traits of this Buddha are delicately executed. The gentle expression on the face represents him as withdrawn in meditation. The ūrṇā made of a precious stone has been torn off. The hair and the uṣnīṣa are treated in waves parallel to the forehead. The broken ears hint at the deformed lobes.

Observation :

Discovered in the bosom of TK 68 according to the Catalogue of the National Kabul Museum by F. Tissot.
