Tapa-i Kafarihā - Figure
This brahmane has a short, combed beard. The long, wavy hair falls over ears with enlarged lobes. The expression is borrowed from Western art: frowning eyebrows, tormented gaze, half-open lips.
Observation :We believe that this head has been recorded twice in the "Catalogue of the National Museum of Afghanistan". The first time is on p. 409, K.p. Ha. 1112.179 from a photo from the private photographic collection of Lolita Nehru or S. Mizuno, 1963, p. 131, the second time on p. 411, K.p. Ha. 1120.187 from fig. 93i of Barthoux's publication.
