Demon

Description
The demon is standing with his body and head wrapped in a fur coat, the edge of which he is holding with both hands. The garment is decorated with indented lines that roughly depict the hair of the fur. The work is very eroded, so it is difficult to read the intention of the smiling, slightly bowed face.
Comparative study
At first sight, this affable face would seem to be best suited to a beneficial genie. However, the same character is depicted in a more disturbing light (HADB no. 170). Before revealing his evil intention, the demon is presented here in the complacent guise of the temptator.
