Head of Bodhisattva

The hairstyle is decorated with a headband closed by a rectangular element. The face is framed by a row of round curls, folded over themselves in a spiral. On the bun, the undulation is represented by parallel furrows. The idealized face is round and smiling. The ears are deformed and have earrings. A fold marks the neck.

This head has been recorded twice in Barthoux's work, as fig. 70 a and 71 b. The photographs are presented from a different angle, but a close examination of the facial features and hair details, as well as the break in the right ear and the break in the left earring, leaves no doubt. This Bodhisattva thus has two provenances: TK 67 and TK 68-72.
