Head of Buddha

The Buddha's facies is of Asian inspiration. The locks are stylized in furrows dug from front to back. The broken uṣnīṣa reveals the thickness of the last layer of stucco. The ūrṇā is placed just above the nose, at the junction of the eyebrows. The face is square, with almond-shaped eyes, a blunt nose and a smiling hemmed mouth. The earlobes are deformed.
