Description

This donor head is very damaged. The hair is treated in beautiful soft waves going from front to back, on either side of a median parting. The features of the face have a local character: short and wide forehead, large almond-shaped eyes, strong busted nose, mouth close to the nose, oval face.

Observations

Barthoux specifies that this modeling was "in clay covered with a film of colored lime, fired by a fire". It is probably the technique of stucco based on lime.
