Description
This middle-aged Brahman's voluminous hair is gathered into a bun that falls over the back. The expression is full of pathos: frowning eyebrows, deep eyes and a half-open mouth.
Observations
The combination of foreign influences is remarkable in the representation of this figure: the facial features are of Indian inspiration while the style borrows from Western art.
