Description

The uṣnīṣa is placed very high on the forehead. The hair is treated in wavy strands figured by deep grooves, running from front to back. The Buddha's lines are classical: marked arch, straight cut of the eye, aquiline nose, thin mouth, prognathic chin. The ears are broken, but must have been deformed.
