Head of Warrior

Photo by Jules Barthoux ©GrandPalaisRmn - Guimet Museum
Location
Tapa-i Kafarihā1
Description
This warrior wears a Phrygian bonnet. The hair is represented by bristling curls, in the form of flames, around the face. The facies, marked by the Western influence, shows a melancholic expression reinforced by frowning eyebrows, a worried look and half-open lips.
