The monk (bhikṣu)

Shaven-headed “as required”, wrapped in the saṃghāṭi, the monk is the most human figure of the records: from the young novice caught laughing to the old man with deep wrinkles, the expression is that of a portrait. Six records show the novice’s lock of hair, kept before ordination.

چهره این راهب جوان مانند پرترهای زنده اسکیس شده، یک کاریکاتور به نظر میرسد. پیشانی طبق قاعده تراشیده شده. چهره ظریف و منظم: چشمهای باز، گونههای بالا. بیانش زنده.
این مجسمه نشاندهنده راهب سالخورده اجرای قابل توجهی دارد. جمجمه کمی کوتاهسر، تراشیده شده. چهره با چینهای عمیق روی پیشانی و نشانههای «پنجه کلاغی» حکاکی شده.
