The Bodhisattva

The princely figure par excellence, the Bodhisattva of the records shares the Buddha’s idealised face but keeps worldly adornment: an elaborate topknot held by a diadem set with pearls or cabochons, crowns with central ornaments, jewellery. It is the most represented figure in the database.

موهای این بودیساتوا با رشته‌های موج‌دار موازی با پیشانی نشان داده شده‌اند. تاج نیم‌دایره‌ای با تزئین مرکزی بخشی از موها را نگه می‌دارد. قوس تاج با قالب‌گیری گود برجسته شده است. صورت مانند بوداها آرمانی شده است.

سر بودیساتوا با چهره ظریف، تقریباً زنانه. در جلوی پیشانی، موها به صورت رشته‌های موج‌دار درشت پرداخت شده‌اند. موی جمع شده سبک‌پردازی شده است: شکاف‌ها موج را مشخص می‌کنند. او تاجی می‌پوشد، نوعی تاج پهن که به نوک مرکزی ختم می‌شود. آرایش مو با قالب‌گیری گود برجسته شده، با نگین‌ها و مروارید مرکزی تزئین شده است. صورت از نوع هندی، نرم، آرمانی و لبخند زده است.
